Burrrr! It is really chilly out and I wouldn’t even have to go outside to know it. My skin is a mirror of the changing season: Flakiness, dull, maybe even a little too-much-fun-in-the-sun-damaged. Here is my skincare solution for all of us to ease into winter with glowing radiant skin.

Get rid of that tan and any sunspots. That’s right; succumb to your natural tone but make it looked polished and pretty. I suggest using the REN Glycolatic mask, a gentle fruity peel that will remove dead skin cells, brighten dark spots, and clarify the overall appearance of the skin. If you like a gritty scrub as oppose to a peel try Fresh Sugar Face Polish. Leave the product on skin for 10 minutes and vitamin C enriched strawberry extract will brightens sun damage. Scrub off to remove dead skin cells.

1- Never share mascara or eye things, EVER!

2- Talk to the your makeup artist they are full of handy tips and tricks. Don’t be afraid of them they won’t bite (Well, I hope they won’t).

3-Replace your mascara and liquid liners every 3 – 4 months. No kidding, bacteria breeds in there. (Kiss Me Mascara)

4- Wash your brushes they need love and attention too. A little shampoo and conditioner will do.

Hot makeup tips for the summer months

Nothing screams cougar like melting blush and bleeding lipstick.

So when it comes to applying makeup on sunny days less is best. That doesn’t mean you have to go completely au naturale if you have a hot lunch date. You can still achieve a cosmetically engineered summer glow – you just need to keep it super simple when the sun is shining.

According to Kiss and Makeup’s key makeup artist, Savannah Olsen, the first thing you should cut down on is foundation. “You don’t want to have a big greasy face, so stick to a water based foundation and keep it to a minimum.”

She also recommends that you keep your purse stocked with a packet of blotting papers to minimize shine and a travel-sized bottle of misty toner to hydrate your face throughout the day.

When it's warm and sunny I can't help but feel happy. I want to show everyone in every way possible how good I feel.
