Ilia Summer Fresh Makeup

Ilia Summer Fresh Makeup

With warmer weather just around the corner, it's time to make a change to your makeup to lighter, fresher, and glowier. We chose this #motd look from Ilia, not only because the ingredients are top shelf (organic and natural), but also for their multi-tasking ability and easy of application. Being cream based vs powder, makes for less chance of creasing and your skin looking dry.  Also when it's HOT out, blending on cream is much easier.

Starting with the skin, use the Vivid Foundation (F1) and Vivid Concealer (C1) to perfect your skin tone and set with Moondance SPF 20 translucent .

Using the Silken Shadow stick in 'Next To You' (which is a lovely bronzy rose gold colour), apply all over the eyelid up to the crease, then using a blending brush or warmth of your fingers blend this cream eyeshadow through and slightly above the crease and out towards the end of the brow in a slightly winged shape.  Bring that same colour along the lower lash line and blend.

Then using the Silken Shadow stick in 'And She Was' (which is a beautiful champagne colour), apply to inner corners of the eye and under the brow, along the brow bone to highlight those areas and make eyes appear more open and bright.
Apply 'Sweet Jane" Pure Eyeliner (a rich chocolate brown) line the top lash line, really working it into the lashes, then using a small angle brush or blending brush, soften the line

Finish the look with "at last" multi-stick for a pale pink cream blush, then add a little "cosmic dancer" illuminator on the tops of cheek bones for a glowy look. Finally, pucker up with "blossom lady" tinted lip conditioner for a kiss of colour on the lips.
