The Beauty of Oil

The Beauty of Oil

The beauty market has recently been flooded with different oils used for beauty purposes, often some of them we find hard to pronounce (jojoba what?) - however there is a reason for this new found popularity -- it really works. One may have some initial scepticism with smothering oil on their face or in their hair (won't this make me break out??), however it is worth the try as the results will amaze you! In fact using oil on your face will help with blemishes, moisturize and nourish the skin! (Remember the rule that oil combats oil). As for hair, oil does wonders to the overall health and shine of your locks! Especially during these dryer months, here are our favourite oil products that you need to try:

RMS Beauty OilThis is one of my ALL time favourite face oils! It's the ultimate organic beauty product with so many different uses! I love using this AM and PM for moisturizing and repairing my skin. It is suitable for my super sensitive skin, but also combats breakouts and calms my skin if I am suffering from a (dreaded) breakout. It also removes even the most stubborn mascaras, and softens my lashes. Dry cuticles? Dry hair strands? Dry patches on your skin?... Say no more, this oil can be used for all your beauty purposes! Even add a drop into your makeup for extra hydration! The magic comes from antioxidant, vitamin-rich exotic oils such as Buriti, Jojoba, Rose Hip and Tamanu, as well as rare herbal extracts including Ashwagandha and St. John’s Wort. Say hello to nourished, protected and moisturized youthful skin.

Tata Harper Replenishing Nutrient Complex: This heavenly little roller ball is like giving your skin a multi vitamin! This concentrated blend of oil infuses the skin with essential vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and antioxidants to transform your skin! Say good bye to dry skin especially chapped irritated patches. I keep this in my purse for easy on-the-go application, or on my bed side table to roll on my face before bed. It controls my breakouts and excess sebum (remember the rule that oil combats oil). Just a light circular motion around the face and gentle massage is all you need!

Tata Harper Nourishing Oil CleanserThis oil has changed my life (seriously though!!) I'm so lazy at the end of the day and want an easy and effective way to remove my makeup, impurities and buildup. Just two pumps of this beautiful blend of oils and esters and I massage away! I like to use a warm face cloth to remove the oil but warm water works as well. My skin is left smooth, soft, clean and non greasy. It also throughly cleanses my skin with the nutrients and vitamins from the oils - easy peasy! (Ps. All Tata products are manufactured on her beautiful farm in Vermont!)

Ren Rose O¹² Moisture Defence OilThis face oil is a dry skin saviour! It locks in moisture and restores and maintains a glowing complexion. It's formulated using the purest steam distilled rosa damascena oil, with a blend of gorgeous oils such as rosehip seed, camellia, jojoba, macadamia, and arctic cranberry seed. I love using this under my moisturizer in the morning (also works as a great protective barrier) and as the last layer on my face before bed!

Själ Saphir Concentrate [Anti-Aging Face Oil]Use this oil to UP your luxury skincare routine. When I put this on my skin it's like liquid silk, made with an artisanal blend of rare essential oils and a blend of anti-aging bioactives for diminishing those fine lines and wrinkles ... umm you mean what fine lines?!!? This oil will increase elasticity, plump, and revitalize skin. Oh... and its infused with Himalayan blue sapphires and aquamarine energy. No big deal.

Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair OilThey call this stuff liquid gold for a reason! It works wonders for dry damaged hair. This oil is great because it penetrates and deeply nourishes while repairing and strengthening. The best part is that it doesn't weigh my hair down, it provides thermal protection before using my hairdryer/curler and reduces dry time.

I hope you enjoy these oils as much as I do! If you haven't incorporated oil into your beauty routine yet... now is the time to try it out!
